Tuscany, however, has more to offer aside from its fine wines and culinary treats. As you take a tour around Tuscany with me, not only will you savor delightful dishes and wines, but you also enjoy a myriad of awe-inspiring sights and natural wonders. Here are the highlights of our upcoming tour in this destination:

Florence

Let’s start our tour by wandering around Tuscany’s capital city, Florence. For a few days, we will be visiting some of the city’s artistic, historic and classic treasures, including the Galleria degli Uffizi, Santa Maria Del Fiore, Giotto’s Tower,Boboli Gardnes, San Miniato al Monte and a whole lot more. What’s more, you get a chance to gormandize on traditional Tuscan courses like the Bistecca alla fiorentina (a massive t-bone steak that weighs around 500 to 1,500 grams) and lampredotto.

Of course, no trip to Florence is complete without tasting its famous wines. As Tuscany’s capital, Florence is notable for its world-class wines, such as Pomino Vin Santo, Brunello di Montalcino and Chianti Classico. If you love wines, then you will surely love this part of the tour.

Lake Garda

After enjoying the wonderful sights and appetizing goodies in Florence, we’ll make our way to Lake Garda, a world-renowned tourist area located in the northern part of Italy. With its deep waters and lush rolling hills, Lake Garda has become a host to a number of outdoor activities and water sports, including mountain biking, windsurfing, kite-surfing, sailing, and a whole lot more. Moreover, the lake is surrounded by picturesque buildings, castles, grand houses and churches.

Lake Como

For more than a century, flocks of travelers and backpackers have toured Lake Como to enjoy its picturesque landscapes and laid-back ambiance. In addition to its natural beauty, the lake boasts a few exceptional Italian restaurants and bars that offer delightful red and white wines.

Venice

Often touted as one of world’s loveliest and most interesting places, Venice is a beautiful sanctuary with a fascinating character and a romantic setting. As we journey around the city of Venice, we will hop on a vaporetti (a water bus), and enjoy scenic views of its intriguing attractions from a different perspective. As tourists in Venice, we will be paying homage to the city’s most celebrated attractions, such as the Rialto bridge, Zattere, and Palazzo Ducale.

After our tour around the city, we will be feasting on several trademark foods from the city like the nero di sepia, alla seppie, nella seppie, risotto, polenta and pasta. As for your drinks, you may take a sip at Venice’s world famous coffee or enjoy a Spritz (a favorite drink among Venetians).

Verona

With the Venice tour in the books, we will be setting our sights to Verona. Known as the setting for the famous Shakespeare novel called Romeo and Juliet, Verona is a pleasant destination with a very relaxed feel. Here, we will be gratifying our taste buds with Veronese specialties, such as cavallo, Picula de Caval and Pastisada de caval.

Milan

As one of the fashion capitals in the world, Milan offers its tourists endless chances to shop for luxurious and chic clothing or accessories. But, we won’t be spending most of our time in shopping here, as we will be also feasting our eyes on its most celebrated attractions like The Duomo, Pinacoteca di Breraand Galleria Vittorio Emanuele. On top of it all, we will be indulging on its famous gelatos, focaccia, pizzas as well as Italian wines.
